Wallpapering Project: Powder Bath

Can You Really Use Natural Material like this Wallpaper in a Bathroom Setting?

In general, we highly recommend not installing natural material such as  fabric or grasscloth wallpaper in a bathroom that includes a shower or bathtub because of the moisture it would be exposed to daily. Because these are made of natural materials, this means that it is extremely absorbent. With the potential for flying water, this could then leave marks on your wallpaper.
However, is this project (powder room and does not contain a shower or bathtub), as long as you properly prime your wall and follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions(which we did), then you can absolutely use fabric or grasscloth type wallpaper. Just be aware that you cannot use an ordinary bathroom cleaner on your wallpaper, rather it is recommended that you vacuum the walls instead.

Light and Airy Feel

For Bathroom and small spaces:

Conventional wisdom holds that pale colors expand a space visually by making the walls recede, and it's true. But white can feel bland, and pastels can lack nuance. There's also a huge range of pale shades, both in terms of color intensity and temperature.
Blues and greens, and grays, browns, and lavenders with blue or green undertones, can make walls recede and a small space seem larger. This bathroom is a great examples in grayed-down Pale/Atmosphere Blue because of the way it establishes a tranquil mood.
